Strong First Interest Meeting

October 30, 2007

As of last Saturday we are in touch with 18 potential members to help restart Phi Kap at Penn State. This is only the beginning and we looking forward to bringing back a great tradition to campus, while at the same time starting something new and exciting. As the number of interested students build we will begin to hold interviews and extend bids or invitations of membership.

Thank you all for expressing interest in helping to restart Phi Kappa Sigma at Penn State. For those who were able to make last Saturday, you have heard and seen first hand what it’s all about. You were able to hear directly from Phi Kap alumni like Jim Broadhurst, current Board of Trustees Chairman at Penn State, Otto Grupp, Psi Chapter Alumni Association President, Henry Keller, son of J. Orvis Keller who has a building named after him on campus, as well as our Chapter Presidents from Dickinson and Franklin & Marshall Colleges, and Kevin Olsavsky, Psi Chapter Alum and our Chapter Advisor at the University of Pennsylvania, among others.

As always, explore this website, check out www.PKS.org, our International Headquarters’ website, and feel free to contact us with any questions.

“Brotherhood is more than skin deep.”

Club Expo Success

September 15, 2007

Toby Smith from our International HQ along with some local volunteers came up to campus today for the club expo to try and help recruit some more interest. Several students stopped by to find out more about Phi Kap. At least six signed up as wanting to get involved right away. A great start so far. Looking forward to getting these guys involved.

Phi Kap Returns to Penn State

September 1, 2007

Thanks to the commitment of Penn St. Phi Kap alumni, the work of our International HQ, the support of the campus administration and interest from Penn St. students, Phi Kappa Sigma is back. We are currently holding interest meetings and recruiting interested students for the first stage of a new chapter. It begins with an interest group. We will recruit until we have enough leaders and members to form a Colony. That Colony will have the honor of being the founding fathers of and returning the Psi Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma back to Penn St.

In order to be successful we need interested students like you. Take a look at our history and values as an organization through this website. If being the leader and founding father of an organization that will work towards service, honor, and brotherhood interest you, then you are in the right place at the right time.
